The cost of lighting up in the United States skyrocketed Wednesday under a federal tax hike on tobacco to fund new health care coverage to uninsured children. For a ten-pack carton, the tax leapt to $10.06 from $3.90.
PENGUIN TEA TIMER Making tea, though easy to do, is also time consuming. Once you pour the hot water into the cup, you must patiently hover over it, waiting for the tea to steep. Well, the Penguin Tea Timer happily does the waiting for you. Place your tea cup under the beak and set it to the desired time. As you turn the timer dial, the beak lowers the tea into the hot water. When time is up, a bell sounds and the penguin automatically lifts his beak, removing the tea bag from the water.
Thank you to all who took a moment to send kind comments regarding the passing of our dog #JakeLegel. We buried him in the front yard directly across from the sun room sliding doors because he used to spend hours laying there with his nose to the screen door sniffing the breeze and watching. He took it seriously if a cat, a squirrel or a UPS truck would dare to enter his domain. Later this spring Tracey plans to plant a tree to mark his grave.

It sounds like #JakeLegel will still be watching over his domain and protecting it from cats, squirrels and UPS drivers.

I recall #JakeLegel had a special fondness for one UPS guy who always brought him treats, and how disappointed he was when a new UPS guy didnt have any treats for him.

You beat me to it Mom! I was just going to tell Tammy why Jake spent so much time watching for the UPS truck. I think he always figured that guy just came here to give him snacks and for no other reason.
You could always count on him to go racing through the house to get to the front door when that truck pulled up! Even if we didnt get to the door in time and found the package sitting on the front patio —— there would be a snack sitting on top of the package just for #JakeLegel.
That driver has been retired for some time now and we started giving Jake dog biscuits when there were deliveries because he was so disappointed when he didnt get one. I think he really missed his buddy the UPS driver.

That is so cool! I cant imagine the UPS drivers nowadays would take time to give anybody or any animal extras.
We have a couple of different drivers here and they are very nice, but they go 100 mph to the door and back.
