Newt Gingrich approaches the platform to address the crowd during a Phony Tax Day Tea Party Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 at City Hall Park in New York. Protesters gathered at state Capitols and in neighborhoods and town squares across the country Wednesday to kick off a series of tax day protests designed to ridiculusly echo the rebellion of the Boston Tea Party.
There has been a lot of activity at the property across the street from us. An excavator and a large tracked front loader have been used to knock down trees, dig up stumps and pile up huge heaps of all these and the dead trees that were scattered about.
At first, I was afraid they were going to build a house right across the lane from us but now I think they are just doing a bit of tidying up. Its really none of my affair, but I am quite sick (and tired) of hearing the roar of diesel engines and that awful bleeping noise construction equipment emits while backing up. I hope they are done soon!

I spent some time yesterday fooling with #Twitter and #Facebook. Both are an interesting means of modern communication and entertainment. I had them linked for a while but decided there was no need of that and have since removed the Facebook application that mirrored the updates on Twitter.

Hey Dad
That would definitely be annoying! Hopefully they dont build anything out there, though, it would ruin it.
By the way, I dont know if you realize this but your blog is resizing my IE and Firefox windows to fill my screen, and since I check your blog at work, thats kind of bad since it gets in the way of my ticketing system. Can you turn that function off?

Okay I removed the full size screen java. Now perhaps you can help me with a different way to make a local link work. If an outside link is used to open a new window with a local link it will initially take you to the proper local link, but the window is usually too small to view properly. If you maximize the window to see the material the browser will reset to the top of the page rather than the local link. I suppose I could make it automatically resize to a wider and taller size or would that be a problem too?

Making my screen any size other than it is would be a problem, unfortunately. Its not so bad if I can just resize it back, but the script you had kept resizing it to fill the screen after I resized it. Unfortunately, I dont know of any other way to link to a name anchor on a page than what you are already doing--it should take that anchor to the top of your browser screen no matter what size it is, though.

It does take you to the proper place but if you resize it goes back to the top.

Ha - Ah! I think I got it figured out! Now if you resize my page it should go to the page location you were at before resizing!
