This kind of reporting really sticks in my gizzard! I don’t doubt the facts presented but I surely resent the context in which they are presented. The use of the words “can’t live without” should actually say “have to live without” or “can no longer afford”.
The way this is presented makes it sound like people are simply deciding to do without these “luxuries” when in fact they really consider them to be necessities they can no longer afford.
It was not a decision born of contemplation but because this declining standard of living is being forced upon them.
The use of the word luxury is simply a rationalization which makes the sacrifice seem somehow palatable, that wanting common conveniences is greedy while the real greedy bastards are those who forced us to do without them in the 1st place, and probably had some major influence upon the wording of this “study”.
How much longer are we going to continue poisoning ourselves with foreign foods and products before our government decides to stop allowing the sale of poison? What good is an FDA that turns a blind eye to these things? There is no excuse for allowing this —— especially once they have been caught —— there shouldn’t just be a recall. They shouldn’t be able to EVER sell anything in America again. Not ever.
I am getting damned sick of this charade. Our government must step up to the plate and deal with these extortionists. I don’t WANT them to be retained! I want them to be put in prison for screwing up the world economy. I can guarantee you if I had perpetrated the fraud these greedy jerks are getting away with —— I would be put in jail for a long time. It is insanity to reward them and try to retain them. I say SHOOT them!
