I think I fixed the coolant leak on my scooter. There’s a 50 - 50 chance anyway. There are two hose connections at the water pump where it was leaking and they are very close together so it was hard to determine for sure which was leaking.

I changed one of the clamps but it sure turned into a greater ordeal than I had ever imagined it would. The only way to get the factory hose clamp off was to cut it off and I couldn’t find anything quite small enough to reach in to it and yet large enough to cut it. Once I had it removed I discovered the hose clamp I bought was about a half inch too big so I made another trip to town to buy a new one.

I finally got it on and was surprised to discover the leak had been more severe than I had thought. It took almost a quart of coolant mix to bring it back up to top. I’m thinking I had better keep a better eye on it for a while.
