05/29/2009 Potholes Deep Enough

 | We cleaned up Tracey’s car and took it out to the Peoria airport so Noah and Denise will have a car to drive when they get here. It has been some time since I have ventured out on the Interstate and I was both amazed and disgusted at the terrible condition of the roadway. In several places there were so many asphalt patches upon patches it was impossible to miss the bone jarring bumps. |

In other places the lack of repair could be seen in gaping holes indeed deep enough I would fear an accident if one were to crash through them. I must have missed something in the past months — did they reduce our taxes since they aren’t repairing the roads? I have driven on roads in at least half of these United States and I can’t remember a single state that has worse roads than Illinois. This is not something to be proud of.
