Tracey just left for work. She is happy that her parking lot is finally open again and she (and her patients) dont have to park a couple blocks away.
Since I have sworn off watching the national news, I tried to watch the local news. Its even worse! Crap like the first part of a two-part series on Flax seed! When did flax seed become local news? Or the other half dozen human interest stories? You can forget about any real news altogether I guess.

We had a great time in Chicago! However, while at Lincoln Park Zoo on Monday, a young lady zoo keepers can of pepper spray went off while she was trying to exit the bears space outside. We were standing there when it happened (down wind). WOW...that stuff is nasty! They closed the bear exhibits, had a fire truck come through, and they took her by ambulance to the hospital. I sure hope she is doing well.
So, we didnt get to see the bears, but thats ok as long as the zoo keeper gets well.
We watched a free Chinese music concert at Millineum Park, a bike race at Buckingham Fountain, played in the fountain at Millineum Park, visited the Museum of Science and Industry, took an architectural boat tour/ride on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, and then rode the train back to Bloomington --sitting backwards! Thank goodness for Dramamine! (for me)
Now, back to the real world....work! This is my last summer teaching day! YEA!
Smile and have a good day!

Oh, to all that wished me a Happy Birthday...Thanks! I spent it in Chicago and had a great time!

Hi Tammy! And welcome home! Sounds like you had a busy time!
Yes, I guess I am still grumpy about that stupid TV. We have over a hundred channels and nothing to watch! Its either weird reality tv or phony-baloney news.
The bear keeper thing reminded me of a joke about bears. The way to tell if bears are in the area is to look for their droppings. And you can tell what kind of bear brown bear scat has small animal bones, twigs, etc. grizzly bear scat has whistles and pepper spray canisters!

Cute joke! It was kind of disappointing in that there were so many selfish people there that day at the zoo. They were ticked because part of the zoo was closed. The other zoo keepers were very nice in telling anyone who asked why the area was closed. Ugh...I feel a soap box coming about people - patience - selfishness - rude......oh I could go on and on! One lovely lady even went so far as to call a zoo keeper a rude a*s because he didnt stop for her. There was a pregnant lady in their group, who was just fine, and we told them what had happened. This lady didnt realize (ha!) that there were other employees at the zoo that could answer HER questions! The zoo keeper she was yelling at was running to get others out of the area and to help the injured zoo keeper. Of course, Dave had a little fun with the looks of their group! Lets just say that they HAD to be from the south (sorry to any readers from the south) -- they looked like they needed to look outside their family when having kids! Im sure their intelligence levels were soaring too - NOT! I had to get Dave away from that lady and quick!

Sounds like you have to keep track of Dave like Tracey does me she is always trying to move me along when my sarcasm starts bubbling over!
