My trip to the doctor office yesterday would seem to indicate that I am still alive. Other than having to wait a half-hour it went better than I expected —— but then I never expect much.

Everything tested fine except my potassium which both the doctor and Tracey agree was probably just a screwed up test. Of course they had to stick me again to drain some blood to test it again. And of course I will get to pay for the second test to make sure the test THEY screwed up was indeed a screw-up.

There was one absolutely hilarious moment when she exclaimed, “Oh my Gosh! Your cholesterol levels are wonderful! Aren’t those drugs doing a wonderful job!?”

I laughed out loud and reminded her I was “Non-Compliant” —— I refuse to take the damn drugs. She quickly changed the subject.

Oddly enough they couldn’t make my next appointment because “the computer calendar for next year has not been set up yet”. Scary —— a very technical profession with lots of high tech tests they charge through the nose for and they can’t set up a simple calendar on the computer? Why does this not bolster my confidence in their high tech abilities?

I’m supposed to remember to call them back to schedule the visit they demand I make to get permission to get the drugs I know I need. Why do I think I might have some memory problems on this subject?

I forgot to mention that Tracey & I went to the #TexasRoadhouse Cafe to celebrate my good health reports. I think I got the biggest sirloin steak I’ve ever been served! Very nice! Tracey says that was to make up for all the not-so-big steaks I have gotten in the past and that I should look forward to never having another steak as big as that one again. Oh Well.

You lucky dog! I have wanted to eat at the Texas Roadhouse for a long time! Every time we drive by, the parking lot is packed. I’m glad you had a big steak. That sounds soooooo yummy!
