Last evening was my first attempt at drawing my #Insulin from a little bottle into a tiny syringe. Tracey had to do it for me to show me how. What a pain in the butt!
The pens are much easier to use but the #MedicalMafia has decided that cuts into their profits too much so I have to fumble around with the little syringes.
We have been treating #Diabetes effectively for decades. The new research we pay so dearly for is in the new methods of administering the insulin, but that doesn’t do me any good if my insurance company won’t pay for it.
Just another fine example of how badly we are ripped off and cheated by the Medical Mafia.

I’ve made some progress in updating the phone numbers, email addresses, etc. in the new #Blackberry. I still have the wrong or missing information for some people but I will eventually get those updated too.

I just read that Cat and Walgreens is making some kind of “deal” for buying prescriptions. It would begin in Jan. 2010. Would that help you to buy the pen instead of syringes? That really stinks....syringes from the dino days instead of the pen from this century! I’d be complaining somewhere!

I don’t expect that wonderful deal between CAT and Walgreen’s to do anything for me —— CAT will enjoy the lower prices and they will just keep raising my premiums, co-pays and deductibles.
I have already complained and the only way to get the pens is have your doctor tell them you have a REASON to use the pens —— like poor eyesight, etc.
My wonderful doctor isn’t interested in telling them a reason like that because she said it would be dishonest. Now isn’t that a hoot!? A member of the Medical Mafia worried about dishonesty?
She doesn’t feel too dishonest about charging me $80 to come in and listen to her tell me my test results when they could have emailed them to me for free. ETC. ETC. ETC.

Scott uses syringes ever since he got diabetes. We tried to pen but it leaks and you don’t get an accurate dose. It is a pain to carry around everything though and make sure you have a good supply of needles. You would think these insurance companies would open their eyes and realize if we do get government health care, they will be gone in no time!

I’m sure I will eventually get the hang of using the syringes but I don’t like to be forced to use them simply because the Medical Mafia wants to make a bit more profit on my outrageous premiums.

In regards to the pictures of the brave souls who built the skyscrapers the old fashioned way, I envy that fearlessness of heights. I wonder how many fell to their deaths?

Aren’t those picture something! I really can’t even imagine doing that. I had thought about a Google search on the subject but haven’t gotten around to it. I have to think there would have been a lot of fatalities over the years of erecting all those huge skyscrapers in New York, Chicago, etc.

I think that explains why they are spending 1.4 million, PER DAY, to fight the passage of Health Care Reform, in part by organizing these Town Hall disruptions.

Gee...maybe you should look into an insulin pump?! Then you only have to change your site every 3 days -- no syringes or pens.

I seriously doubt my insurance would pay for that either. I’m afraid I’m just going to have to get used to having the worst health care insurance available.
