Yesterday was one of those days! Traceys replacement #Kindle arrived but there were no instructions with it or a shipping label to return the busted one. So several minutes on hold and transferred to several departments at #Amazon.com to get them to email me what I needed. Wrong label I was supposed to get a pre-paid label from UPS and got one from the Post Office they were going to charge me for. More bad music on hold and several transfers and we get the right label emailed.
I made sure everything was good on the new Kindle and took all the books off the old Kindle. I spent a while boxing up the old one, printing the label, etc. I went into Tremont and paid the second installment on our Real Estate Tax (now theres a ripoff!) then went to Pekin and dropped the dead Kindle off at the UPS to get shipped back. Went to Bobs for lunch and they have discontinued the Taco Salad. Said it is seasonal. Good Grief.
Last, but not least, the Internets died at about 2:00 yesterday afternoon and they didnt get it working again until almost 10 p.m. That was a major Bummer for A&B. They wandered about the house like lost souls.
Hopefully today will go better. It was six years ago today that I retired. Sure doesnt seem that long!

My computer had been ravaged overnight by #Microsoft. Even though I have marked everything I can find to tell them to quit Updating my computer they do it anyway. I just found this cute-but-oh-so-appropriate little toon than sums up nicely how I feel about that asshole Bill Gates.

Good morning. Ashley just left for school. She is going with the FFA to the Farm Progress Show. I still cant picture her that interested in FFA, but she insists she likes it, etc. I need to work on my support and enthusiasm I guess! )maybe later...too early!)

Good Morning! Perhaps Ashley is interested in FFA because of the other people who are also interested or interesting?

I have to admit that I would not have been able to have financially retire if not for Tracey still working. I am a very lucky man, freely admit it, and am very thankful! I hope you will get to bail out of work soon even if only to work a little at something you might enjoy more.
