Tracey took another picture yesterday on the continuing progress of the shoe on Allentown Rd. This picture is better and you can clearly see it has been cut in half and is without a soul sole. We wondered how it got from the far shoulder of the road back into the middle of the road and now surmise it got hit with a mower and was spewed back onto the road. It has now managed to make it through the S curve and is at least a hundred yards east of its original location.

Im up after a short nights sleep. Andy decided that he was going to enter his nutcracker collection in the Pumpkin Festivals window display contest.
So.....Andy, me, a couple of heavy tables, and over 150 nutcrackers will be going downtown this morning! So, if you are going through downtown Morton after 1:00 today, look in the windows at Grimms Inc. (next to the Pottery shop). Grimms used to be D&D Embroidery. Its about two businesses north of Heartland Main Bank. The winners are announced Wed. at 6 p.m. Ill let you know how the story ends!
Andy has also decided that he might enter one of the pumpkins that he grew in the weigh off on Tues. He is going to weigh his two pumpkins and see if they are close to 43 lbs. This will be the 43rd Pumpkin Festival and they choose a pumpkin closest to that weight as a winner. Ashley and the Morton FFA will be helping with the weigh off. Busy weekend and week ahead! The laundry will get done?
