The National Zoo’s senior female lion, Lusaka, seen in an undated photo, has died after developing fibrosarcoma, a cancerous tumor under the skin on her back, Lusaka was estimated to be 18 years old.
A man is walking down the beach and comes across an old bottle.  Picking it up, he pulls out the cork.  Sure enough, out pops a huge blue genie.  The genie says, “Thank you for freeing me from my prison.  In return, I will grant you three wishes.”

The man says, “Perfect.  I always dreamed of this, and I know exactly what I want.  First, I want one billion dollars in a Swiss bank account.”

Suddenly, there is a flash of light, and a detailed list with Swiss Bank account numbers appears in his hand.

He continues.  “Next, I want a brand new red Ferrari right here.”

There is another flash of light, and a bright red Ferrari appears right next to him.

He goes on.  “Finally, I want to be irresistible to women.”

A final blaze of light, and he turns into a box of chocolates!

The woman’s husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day.  One day, when he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer.

As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes full of tears, “My dearest, you have been with me all through the bad times.  When I got fired, you were there to support me.  When my business failed, you were there.  When I got shot, you were by my side.  When we lost the house, you stayed right here.  When my health started failing, you were still by my side.  You know what?”

“What dear?” she gently asked, smiling as her heart began to fill with warmth.

“I think you’re bad luck.”

A&B returned home about noon yesterday.  Tracey and I didn’t get our scooter ride because it rained all day ... that was kind of a bummer.  It turned out to be a very stay-at-home lazy day because of all the rain.  Tracey even sent Ben out to get pizza for supper and Ben was kind enough to go get it without a fuss.

A&B had to spend a few minutes on my computer searching for photos of themselves when they were in grade school.  The school wants them to provide these pictures for the year book.  I got the impression neither of them was the least interested in doing this or in the year book at all.

I’m glad you mentioned those pictures or I would have forgot to! You can see that’s how important it is to me :)
