It was so beautiful yesterday morning we decided to put the new battery in Tracey’s scooter so she could ride it to work. It only took about ten minutes, if that.

She wasn’t in a very good mood because she had to chew out a couple employees when she got to work. I know she hates it when they screw things up or don’t come to work when they are supposed to and she hates having to continually tell them about it. I’m sure I would make a lousy boss.


Ben aired up his tires and took his first bicycle ride of the season. It was a nice day for it. I rode my scooter into Tremont to put some gas into it (I let it get almost empty again!) and dropped by the bank to cash our paltry state income tax refund check. It will pay for a couple weeks of school lunches.

A&B were pretty happy with the results of the placement tests at ICC. They brought home some papers explaining how well they had done but it was all Greek to me; I will just take their word for it that they did well.

I have to say they live in a different world when it comes to all the #EducationMafia bullshit. Test scores, ratings, etc. that mean so very little in any other context or reality. I’m just glad they know how to deal with it because I sure couldn’t.
