The gas stove in the sun room didnt turn on this morning and it is only 40°F in there right now. Brrrr.
I dont know what happened to the stupid thing. The thermostat said it was was on but it wasnt. I clicked it off and back on and it whooshed on.
Now I will shiver a bit until it warms up. My computer is only about 6 feet from the sun room.
I was thinking of a friend I havent seen in a while and searched their name on Facebook. I was actually surprised to see the familiar face.
I sent out a request and did some more searching for others. It wasnt long and I had sent out about a half dozen requests. I dont usually go from friend to friend reading what is on their Facebook pages but I did last night.
Not only do I need to get out more I need to look around Facebook more? Oh My.

I stopped at #BobEvans for breakfast. While I was waiting for my food I noticed a waitress with a great big bright blue Band-Aid on her neck.
I asked another waitress, one I see there regularly, What is the deal with the blue Band-Aid Did she get bit by a vampire?.
She replies that the Band-Aid is covering a tattoo. What? I asked her what the policy is because there are several other employees with tattoos visible. She looks over her shoulder and then all around and quietly says it depends on the manager who has to cover up a tattoo or who doesnt.
Now how is that for arbitrary enforcement of stupid rules? Are they using the rule to punish some or just letting the suck-ups get away with it? Another good reason to have a union.
These kind of stupid rules partially enforced by the whim of a tyrant manager arent as likely with union negotiated and enforced policies. Personally I think the giant blue Band-Aid looks a hellava lot worse than a tattoo. It makes you wonder what kind of nasty sore is hiding under there?

I did not have Mr. Chobanian for a teacher in high school, but I remember his face and name. May he rest in peace. #Obituary
#999 I just got off the phone with Frontier Tech Support to see if they could find any reason for the IP multiple pings problem reported by Yahoo.
He did a line test and said that I have intermittent connection issues. He asked me what brand modem I have and said that might be the problem because it is not the brand they use.
So now a new modem ($59.99+tax+etc.) is on the way. I have my doubts about this but he said they cant dispatch anyone to investigate the problem until my equipment is to specification. It just keeps getting better doesnt it?

I have a feeling that your modem isnt causing ME to get those #999 errors that I see every now and then

Hi Noah I think you are probably right. The yahoos at Yahoo say that once they receive 1000 pings in a minute they flag my site so that ANY IP can encounter #999 Errors. I think they are full of sh*t but I called Frontier anyway.
Since they say they have encountered a problem which might cause my computer to make multiple pings to resolve incomplete packets I thought I better play along. As long as either Yahoo or Frontier can find a problem to point to they wont look any further.
So I have to get that resolved I guess before I can get them to look for what the real problem might be. I have to be able to prove there is not a single possible problem on my end before they will even try to fix it. Life in the tech world I guess.
