7:40 a.m. 21/2 miles
Tracey drove herself to work this morning so I walked Allentown Rd. instead
of around the Pekin Park Lagoon. I missed the last three days in a row and
felt a little guilty about that so I made a special effort to get out and walk
this morning.
The weather is absolutely perfect. The sky is a clear cloudless blue
and the sun is just up and shining. The temperature is in the low 50s
and seemed a bit cool when I first started but was just right once I got going. I really feel better walking in the cooler weather. I don’t
get so hot, sweaty and overheated. And there were no bugs! I hate
those biting little pests and they don’t move so too good in the cool
weather.
The corn harvest has begun on Allentown Rd. There is a lot of corn
spilled alongside the road, especially around the Dillon Creek Bridge which has
a pretty good bump at each end. I could see the birds and other critters
are enjoying the bounty of the grain harvest too!
LLAP,
Michael
