I received an email from Walgreen’s explaining they have finally received my prescription. I am almost surprised it only took three phone calls.
I also called to make an appointment to get my eyes examined yesterday and amazed myself with the patience I had with the pushy questions and sales crap.
The only reason we go to Bard in Pekin is because we like the optometrist. He has really done a good job over the years of getting us fitted with lenses that work right the first time.
The girl on the other end of the phone just kept asking me questions about my birth date, address, etc. Then she asked if I was getting glasses or contacts and I said, “Neither, just an exam.”
I have no intention of being ripped off by them on another pair of glasses. She acted all put out and kept telling me how wonderful their vision care deals are and why didn’t I want to buy from them etc.
Each time I said absolutely nothing and she even asked if I was still there, to which I simply said yes. Eventually she got the message and we got down to making the appointment.
I go on Thursday morning and I have until then to work on my patience for that. One of the first things they will do when I get there is give me a clipboard full of forms to fill out and sign. I never sign anything that says what I don’t want. I rarely fill out the blanks about my income or anything I know they already have the information for. Etc.
I just need to keep my mouth shut so they don’t make me wait an extra hour.

Pretty sure this is about as harsh an indictment of Obummer’s civil liberties record as you’ll find. This is the best evidence of why I am becoming more disgusted with Obummer. This country is sure screwed up.
I just read a scathing editorial about Sarah Failin and was going to share it with you when I suddenly realized I didn’t want to be just as guilty of giving this ignorant whining bimbo another platform to spew her lies and bullshit. So suffice to say I don’t like her and I hope you don’t either!
