I have to take the #Honda in for another factory recall. This time it is a faulty voltage converter that could make the car shut down unexpectedly and refuse to start leaving you stranded. Lovely. I hesitate to use the oxymoron Never say never., but this may be the first and last Honda we ever own. I will never plan not to buy another Honda.

Another instance of that oxymoron is probably the shop that still has not finished the maintenance work on our mower. Who knew it was going to take a month. They may take the prize for poor planning and FAIL. I will never not take our mower there again unless I have no choice.

#DiscoverCard I try to check my various credit and bank accounts regularly and I can get upset when the numbers dont add up. I sent another snarky email to #DiscoverCard because their numbers just dont add up. I always get some lame excuse but it baffles me how I should feel confident about my credit, payments, etc. when they cant do simple arithmetic. Below is a very typical example of what I mean it doesnt add up.

I just dropped the #Honda off at the dealership in Peoria. I had to go through the argument again about how I do NOT want them to flash my software and ruin the gas mileage like Honda did to Noahs car. I dont have a good feeling about this.
They gave me a #Honda Civic Hybrid for a loaner and it is a dog. I would bet they flashed the software on it just like they want to do with mine.
Im sitting in the Bob Evans up the street worrying now. I was told over the phone the car would be done by noon. Now Im told maybe it will be done by then. They will call me.

Well I wasted several hours of my morning and a couple gallons of gas for nothing. Shortly after I started eating my breakfast #Honda called me and said they HAVE TO do the software update to replace the voltage regulator it is built into the regulator, etc. blah, blah, blather.
I told them not to touch anything I would come take my car and leave. I am not going to agree to let them rob me of ten miles to the gallon at the price of gas as it is. I would sooner trade it in on a used Taurus which gets better than that. They gave me a lot of lip but (as far as I know) they didnt do the updates or change the part.
I will still keep an eye on my gas mileage because I just dont trust them. They acted like they were doing me a favor to NOT ruin my gas mileage and ALLOW me not to have the recall done. Now I will say I will NEVER own another Honda. Period. And I would suggest nobody else ever buy one either. They cant be trusted.

#Honda My thoughts exactly--I wondered if they were going to pull that on you, though, since the voltage regulator is probably tied into the IMA computer.

Seriously? At what point do we become ashamed of stupid laws in this country?
Wearing baggy pants on campus could soon be a crimeBaggy Pants

In a state where the senior Senator was not born in America.
I think Florida passed a law several years ago about baggy pants in public (or maybe it was in public schools). Personally, I think that we should let people wear the baggy pants because it makes it easy to spot idiots and people who cant afford belts
