I’ve been meaning to share this picture for some time now but never got around to it. This is a picture of a utility pole on Allentown Rd. about a half mile west of us. The wires on this pole provide our power. I don’t know if it was hit by lightning or just what splintered the support brace on the crossarm —— but I figure some day that will break the rest of the way and we will be without electricity.

I took Mom to her yearly trip to see the pulmonologist. It seems lately the Medical Mafia is really ganging up on her.
There were the usual forms to fill out with six different places for Mom to sign off on meaningless information.
The doctor wasn’t in so she had to wait around to see a nurse practitioner. In the middle of the “exam”, which was oddly more like this nurse reading Mom’s questionnaire answers back to her, the gal was called away. Mom was not happy about this woman wondering the halls on her dime. They charge outrageous fees and treat you like a school child.

$357.10 That’s what we paid to get Tracey’s scooter tire replaced and the oil changed.
It is almost embarrassing to say how badly we got ripped off by this place. Three hundred fifty-seven dollars and ten cents. It’s not so bad if you say it fast.
I’ve got the itemized receipt and will be writing up something a little more detailed to share with the world of Internet editorials, forums and soap boxes.

Ouch! I don’t know if J R Riddle here in Morton works on scooters and/or if he’d be any cheaper. I know he’s a busy guy though.
Well, I didn’t get off the hook so easily with my van. They replaced the links (free) on the sway bar in the front of my van. Drove it and it still makes the noise. So they put it back up on the hoist and I’m in need of 2 control arm bushings!
I said, GRRREEEAAATTT....I could tell by the name that it was expensive! Well, I’ll be spending 285.00 next week! I told them that they just knew when it was time for me to get paid!
It’s cheaper than a new van so I’ll just write the check and say thank you!
I forgot to tell that Ashley’s front passenger window won’t go down now. Oh well, it’s winter! They just laugh at me...4 vehicles so one is always needing something! Especially since they are all old ones!

Hi Tammy, I will be doing some calling in the future for any work we may need done on the scooters.
Thanks for the tip —— they just might work on them. I’m sure the car repair shops are doing good business —— who can afford a new car? And the used cars all need stuff replaced regularly because they aren’t designed to last. They wouldn’t be able to sell new cars if they lasted longer than a few years without major repairs.
