Tracey and I had some breakfast with Noah yesterday before he set out to visit friends at his karate dojo.
Tracey, DD, Ben and I met up with Noah at the Cracked Barrel around 12:30 p.m. as we had planned but moved to the Stake-n-Shake because the hostess at the #CrackerBarrel was incapable of planning ahead to seat five people at a table bigger than one that seats four people. I dont know why we even went there in the first place.
After lunch we stopped by Moms for a short while so Noah could visit with his Grandma a bit. Shortly after we got back home Noahs cousin Tom dropped by for a little while until Tracey took Noah to the Peoria airport to fly home. It was quite a whirlwind visit. Noah texted us as he changed planes in Texas and then again when he landed in Phoenix so he made it back home without taking two days like it took to get to Moline.

From the Associated Press: Ogden officer Jared Francom died early Thursday at a hospital, hours after he and a team of bulletproof vest-wearing officers rapped on the door of a small, red-brick Ogden house to serve a search warrant in a drug investigation.
When no one responded, the officers burst inside only to meet a hail of gunfire, authorities say.
It seems to me that people getting severely wounded and killed over drug warrants is insane. Instead of using a little patience and apprehending these people without violence, especially since they are charged with minor crimes police are increasingly more inclined to storm in with guns drawn. And then everybody acts all surprised somebody got hurt?
