This guy had an awful day fishing on the lake, sitting in the blazing sun all day without catching a single one. On his way home, he stopped at the supermarket and ordered four catfish.
He told the fish salesman, Pick four large ones out and throw them at me, will you?
Why do you want me to throw them at you?
Because I want to tell my wife that I caught them.
Okay, but I suggest that you take the orange roughy.
But why?
Because your wife came in earlier today and said that if you came by, I should tell you to take orange roughy. She prefers that for supper tonight.
Other than taking some trash out and a trip to the mail box ... I didnt do anything productive yesterday. Very lazy day. I should have made a grocery run but didnt so I guess that will be on the agenda for today.

While the cats away, the mice get lazy. :) Parent/Teacher conferences for me today and tomorrow. Long, late, and stressful 2 days! Then Sat. off to Normal to look at apts. for Ashley to live in while at ISU and lunch with Andy and my dad!

Hi Tammy, This mouse is lazy even when the cat is not away! Dont get too stressed and I hope you find a nice (and affordable) place for Ashley to live. Enjoy lunch too!

The USDA has just put out a new plant hardiness zone map. If Im understanding this information correctly, our mean highs and lows have increased by three to five degees since 2000.
Hi DD, I fixed your links and yes ... it does look like that to me too although I have little experience in hardiness zones or planting. I have a black thumb ... not a green one :)

Corrections... The old map was published in 1990 based on data from 1974-1986. The new map was published yesterday based on data from 1976-2005. The USDA denies that warming trends reflect major climate change. As was their official position when the 1990 map replaced the 1960 map.

Of course they deny climate change (even though the data supports it) ... they are subject to political vendettas from the right wing climate deniers so they have to remain politically neutral about the facts.
