I went to get groceries yesterday and there was a woman just inside the door giving away copies of the Peoria Journal Star. I laughed when she offered me one and told her I didn’t want that rag.

She was a bit offended I think but we don’t have any reason to fill our house up with pulp paper upon which is mostly written half-truths, innuendo and way too many advertisements. It must suck that they can’t even give the darn newspapers away.


I think that perhaps we may have finally narrowed down which electric chair Tracey wants. Maybe.

We went to Martin’s furniture store in E. Peoria where they sell mostly the Lazyboy brand. Tracey wasn’t impressed —— she thought they were too “square and boxy looking” whatever that means.

So far I think the Sofa Mart is in first place for Tracey’s choice. We then went to Avanti for supper. They have completely remodeled the place and it looks very different.

I know it is late in the day to mention this but I have to remark upon the date which is a palindrome like my last name.
