I got a call from the #Frontier repairman around 1 p.m. yesterday and he insisted on coming to the house. After I showed him what the numbers were on my modem, the same numbers I quoted over the phone to everyone I talked to; he decided he could fix it with a phone call.
I knew the problem was NOT at our house but nobody listens. I did find out that they made changes to the system last Thursday, as I suspected, but nobody would admit to it. The repair guy was surprised nobody told me.
I also found out that from now on when you get a new modem from the phone company instead of buying it outright they lease it to you. Im not sure I like that any better. The guy was going to swap ours out until he found out I just bought it. He left it the way it is so we wont have a monthly fee for a new one we dont really need yet.
Mostly Im just glad we got our Internet service working properly again so I dont have to wait so long for simple web browsing, uploads, downloads, etc.
