I like to think I am a little bit conscientious when it comes to our environment and what mankind is doing to our ecosystem, etc. So I was a little surprised to see the very thick, heavy and large envelope in our mailbox the other day from a so-called environmental group.
And while I lament the misfortunes of the redwood forests I was appalled at how many trees must have been sacrificed to mail out all the pulp paper in this junk mail which included, of all things a large glossy map.
As if knowing where the threatened trees live might persuade me to part with a little more of my cash. I have to say my disgust at all this pulp paper made the decision for me. I’m not convinced that pouring money into these organizations truly helps the environment but I KNOW that printing all that paper to mail to people isn’t helping.

Ashley made it to her destination about 10:15 last night! She asked me when she arrived in Charlotte if I thought she’d have to make the same kind of trip on Sat. when she returns home. I told her that I hope not! It will probably depend on how many planes American Airlines “lost” to the storm. She’s going to travel alot of miles to have 2 days of fun.

Hi Tammy, I wasn’t ignoring you! I was feeling really under the weather this morning so I just stayed in bed. I didn’t feel like even looking at this computer!
They say “better late than never” but that was really LATE! I wonder how airlines stay in business when they have to make all those connections between the two points of a straight line? I sure hope she has a great time and the return trip isn’t so hectic.
