We had a wonderful day off yesterday. Today Tracey has to open the clinic again and I would be surprised if she is done before 5 p.m.

Tracey’s docking station arrived in the mail but it didn’t come with a power cord so we went to Radio Shack in Pekin to see if they had one. They had a rather expensive set of power supply and interchangeable connectors and I wasn’t sure if the right one was there so I asked the lady if we could return everything if it didn’t work. She was very pushy about telling us we should have thought ahead and bought it with the docking station, etc. Not very helpful.

We decided to just order one online and left. Tracey says she thinks the lady was a hoarder and didn’t really want to sell any of her stuff.

We went all out for supper and went to the Texas Roadhouse for steak. We haven’t been there in a very long time and it was nice. They didn’t have the music blaring loud as they usually do so we could even have a conversation while we ate.

Tracey took Louie for a walk to the mailbox at dusk last evening and they found this little baby raccoon under a pine tree next to the road by our big cottonwood tree. Tracey says he was pretty feisty and hissed at her every time she flashed a picture. We hope his mother eventually finds him and takes him home because he is not quite old enough to be on his own yet.

I know he’s wild, fiesty, and mean, but he sure is a cute little guy! Hope the mama gets him and not something else!

Ok, I’ve had enough summer 90 degrees days. Bring on the 70’s please! Andy is going (I don’t know why!) to that summer camp music festival today thru Monday. You couldn’t pay me to go to that thing much less stay in a tent in this weather!

I’m not sure that there’s that many bands that he likes. Well, I know one reason he’s going...he bought a ticket early and cheap, but the catch is it has his name on it so it can’t be picked up by anyone else or sold to anyone else to use. Bummer! Hope a lesson was learned there!

Hi Tammy,
We will probably never know where the little raccoon ended up ——
I didn’t see him out there this morning.

I’m afraid my days of music festivals are long past. I was always more excited about the crowds and meeting people than I was about most of the music anyway. And music today is so different I don’t recognize some of it AS music. Just an old fuddy-duddy I guess.

Well, I’m just an old fuddy-dud too! I don’t think there’s as many bands as last year that he likes, but I guess he’s not going to waste the ticket and money. Just saw 96 degrees both Sat. and Sun. YUCK! I do worry about the heat and being a diabetic. But what’s a mom to do!

Romney, in saying that, pretty much blows up the entire rationale for over 30 years of Repuglican economics right there? Cutting government spending will throw us into a recession or depression?
