Finished up the mowing yesterday. Even after all the rain it is still dry out there. I was surprised I didn’t find any swamp where I usually have one this time of year.


Yesterday was garbage pick-up day and I forgot to take out the trash. That means double for next week. Rats!


We watched the movie The Help last evening and it was a bittersweet show about the life of black maids in 60s Mississippi. I can’t imagine what life was like there at that time.

I mowed yesterday too. It felt good!
Today is a “heart tugger day”....it is/was my parent’s wedding anniversary. It would of been 53 years. Sunday will tug even harder - it would of been my mom’s 73rd bday. I know this week has been a little hard for my dad.

Sorry. I know everyone has a few days a year that are nostalgic with sorrow and there is nothing I could say that would make it better. Just try to remember all the good stuff and maybe it will take the edge off the sad.

Thanks Michael. I know there’s no words to make it all better. I probably feel more sad for my dad. I think this week is rough because it’s “the firsts”. Hope time heals the heart a little.

I have spent several days working with Windows 8 on Tracey’s tablet and I still thinks it sucks. Horrible, horrible Start page off in left field, ETC.
