Today is National Flag Day. In 1885, CJ Cigrand, a Wisconsin public school teacher, arranged for students and administrators in his district to observe June 14th as the flag’s birthday to commemorate the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14th as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress signed into law by President Harry Truman.
Tracey ended up going to the medical clinic in Tremont yesterday to get some help with her poison oak, or whatever she got into. She has it all over her face now too. Her eyes are all swollen and she has blotches on her forehead. Not good! She went to work for a while but her employees sent her home.

Obummer has been getting a lot of bullshit from the right wing nut media about his out-of-context statement “The private sector is doing just fine.” If you don’t think private industry isn’t doing well than you have to ignore news like this from Caterpillar —— just one of many Fortune 500 companies with astronomical profit increases.
