I managed to mow about an acre yesterday before a short rain shower came along. One thing about this near drought we are having —— I don’t have to mow much!


The ice maker on our freezer went kaput so I called to get an repairman out to fix it. He won’t get here until next Monday so I hope Tracey can live without her ice. I hardly ever use the stuff so I don’t miss it.


I was right in the middle of something last evening when the McAfee antivirus software on my computer decided I needed to reboot to activate some new feature. I told it to wait but about 15 minutes later it just rebooted anyway. As soon as it was done I uninstalled every shred of McAfee from my computer and installed Microsoft’s free antivirus. I don’t need programs that arbitrarily shut me out of my own computer.

Beautiful morning for a walk!

I ended my walk by coming through downtown. I wanted to check out some store windows. There’s a new store called Second Betty. The window said gently used furniture. I glanced in the window when I walked by and I’m thinking maybe just another name for antiques. I may have to go inside when it’s open. It probably won’t last long so I’d better put that at the top of my list!

It is a shame when it is not likely a business will survive long enough to go see what they are selling! Good to hear you are walking, I managed two walks out to the mailbox and back which is probably just a bit less than a mile altogether. Early morning is the best!

The one business that seems to pop up and stay long is financial planning and investment.

Guess Morton people must have money to play with and invest.?. Hmmm...a cliche’ pops in mind about Morrrrrton....nope, not going there.
