Tracey drove the VW to work yesterday so she had a long, super hot walk to a blistering hot car. The A/C probably didn’t catch up until she was almost home!
As soon as she got home we went right back out in the heat to drive to the Best Buy in Peoria to get a new home theater system. That’s a fancy description of a DVD player with six speakers. I had spent part of the afternoon calling hither and yon to find something affordable to replace the one we have because the DVD player is clearly about dead. It stutters, pauses, freezes, locks up, etc. I had hoped we could find one without having to pay for new speakers but no such luck. So we have some extra speakers if anybody needs a couple?

I’m sure Dave would love some speakers, but he listens to the tv loud enough without them! Speakers would really drive me nuts!
Dave is leaving in about 2 hours for his trip. This will be his 1st long motorcycle trip and something he’s been wanting to do. I’m still not too keen on the idea, but my opinion didn’t count for this.
He is riding with another couple. They were supposed to go to TN, visit Jackie and Dick, and ride the Dragon’s Tail.
Well, it’s too hot and the other guy doesn’t like riding with high heat. So, they are going north. They are literally going to ride all the way around Lake Michigan!
There is a park up on the northwest side that the other couple would like to visit. It’s called something like Pictured Rocks Lakeshore...something or other. Seems like a LONG ride to see some rocks!
Guess I’m just not into motorcycles and never will be. I told him to text me the name of every city and town that they stop in so I know he’s ok and where he is. I think this will be a very long week (10 days to be exact) for me! Hope all goes well for the 3 of them!

Hi Tammy, Sounds like Dave is taking quite a trip! I’ve thought about doing a shorter version on my motorcycle but we always chicken out when we think about how numb our butts would get! Keep track of him and he will be home again in no time! And the speakers are free for the taking if you know anybody who wants them.

Yes, it will be a trip! He’s never done anything like this before. He has been out with the other people on all day trips, but never 10 days! I bet he gets sore by about day 3. Not my cup of tea!
Dave left for E. Peoria at 9. They will leave from the other couples’ house. Sure hope they dodge the rain and storms! Hope they wait to leave until the storms have gone through!
Speakers won’t “live” here unless there’s soundproof headphones with them for me! If I hear of anyone in need of speakers, I’ll let you know.
