Ben loaded up and left for SIUE yesterday around 11 a.m. He took his bicycle with him so that added some complexity to the packing but he got everything squeezed into the #Honda and off he went. He sent a text to Tracey announcing he had safely arrived. And then another text to me in the evening to explain he had used our credit for pizza because he had left his money in his dorm room.

Tracey took this picture of our empty driveway as we were leaving to go to Mom’s. Our drive hasn’t been empty for at almost 10 years and we will be able to put both of OUR cars in the garage!

Mom, DD, Tracey and I went to Mama Rae’s in Morton for supper. The air conditioner wasn’t working so good there but it wasn’t unbearable, just a bit annoying. We returned to Mom’s trailer to cuss and discuss the problems of the world.
