It took most of the day but I think the mower tire is finally repaired properly. I dropped it off at the repair shop around 8:30 a.m. yesterday and then went to Pekin to do some grocery shopping.

I had hoped they would have the darn thing fixed in a couple hours but it was three o’clock in the afternoon before they finally got it done. Rather than try to patch it up they put a tube in it. So much fuss over a little tire.

I then spent about 2.5 hours mowing which resulted in a severe case of “mower back”. I ended up going to bed an hour early just because my back was bothering me.

So, of course, I was up at 4 a.m. this morning wandering around the house. Maybe I can work a nap in later today? The really sad thing is that after all the mowing I still have about an acre yet to mow. At least my back feels a whole lot better this morning.


Noah is back in Illinois this week. Noah plans to join us for dinner this Saturday evening. Tracey has to work but hopes to be able to get off a little early so she can visit with Noah for a while too.

Tracey had to buy four gallons of vinegar for work so I took pity on her and drove her in to work so she wouldn’t have to deal with hauling them into the clinic and then going back to park the car, etc. in this rain storm.

They have a hard time with keeping their supply inventory because they have to order things almost two weeks in advance and they don’t have enough storage space to keep a lot of extra stuff on hand. Let us hope she gets to move to a new facility with more storage space!
