1988 • Yellowstone National Park is closed for the first time in history due to ongoing fires.
I was always a Star Trek fan and still feel that way. We were at Yellowstone in 1988 with our infant son Noah so we witnessed those fires first hand.

I survived my first week of school! It sure seemed longer than three full days! It’s always a challenge until the kids get used to their new teacher, new classroom, new routines, etc. I have 3 classes: 1 fantastic, 1 great and 1 that will be a huge challenge for me. It’s kind of that way every year.
You are going to have to add another birthday to your calendar! Did you see the gorgeous lips on that new little girl in Holly’s family!?! I know the initials are AJS. I just wish I could remember what the A was for! Hopefully Holly will reveal her name soon...it’s driving me nuts!
Great day today....mowing and yard work without sweating to death! I love those kind of days!

I saw those pictures! She is definitely a cutie! I’m glad you survived the week. I imagine that is an adventure every year. I should probably mow some more grass too but I’m ready to quit for the year already. Have a great day!

Just saw where Holly is still trying to pick a name. She said she was maybe liking Juliet Michelle more.
Of course, I had to cast my vote! (The A was for Ava - don’t know why I couldn’t remember that!) It looks like so far she has Ava Juliet Schurtz or Juliet Michelle Schurtz or ? or ?
Guess I’ll just have to wait and see what the new little princess will be named.
