Sept. 11th

On this date in 2001 Islamic extremists are alleged to have perpetrated a series
of coordinated suicide attacks upon America. They supposedly hijacked
four commercial passenger jet airliners and used them to attack
the Pentagon and the World Trade Center causing the immediate
death of 2,974 people not counting the 19 hijackers. America
retaliated by invading Afghanistan and Iraq.

We have a fairly good sized pile of trash out by the lane and one of our neighbors dropped by to sort through it and take some stuff. Louie was barking like a mad dog so I looked out the window and watched the neighbor take a broken wire shelf and a reel of leaky hose from the pile. I suspect he will try to sell them?


We went to Bob’s for supper last evening and Tracey got some chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. I broke down and got some pumpkin pie (without whipped cream!) and it was so sweet! I rarely eat very much of anything with sugar and it is such a treat when I do. Of course the moment of weakness required me to take a bit more insulin.
