Although #USCellular said there was no reason they knew of why our phones weren’t working things started working again about a half-hour after I called.
Much later in the day, late afternoon, I got a call back with the explanation that they had found a problem with a T1 line and it should be fixed.
I have to wonder how a major phone line can have “a problem” that they aren’t aware of until a customer has to convince them of it —— or —— if they knew about it, why would they lie and say they didn’t?
I honestly think we are going in the wrong direction with technology. Too much technology jury rigged together and too few people who understand it.

#MedicalMafia#OSF Tracey left for work around noon yesterday and I had planned to visit Mom at the hospital soon after but when I called Mom she said she had to have another MRI taken because the one taken the day before hadn’t been clear enough.
Alan was there visiting with her so I told her I would check back later. A while later I called and they still hadn’t done the MRI so Mom said she would call me after it was done.
I didn’t hear anything back until almost 7 p.m. and had thought perhaps she just wanted to rest but she called and told me they finally got the MRI done. DD was visiting with her and it was getting late so we talked on the phone a bit and I didn’t go to visit her.
I should have just gone over there in the early afternoon as I had planned. It is always something!

It would appear there is a power struggle at the top of the heap at #Microsoft.
I have to wonder if this means they have finally discovered the direction they are taking with Windows 8 is asinine and they want to reverse direction —— or if they are sealing the fate of users by forging ahead with this non-functional #ArtsyFartsy version of software. Sure looks pretty but doesn’t DO much.
I added a few more links to the #Microsoft debacle above. It appears this Larson-Green has been one of the prime movers of the #ArtsyFartsy faction so we can presume this beautification project will continue to degrade usefulness at Msoft Crapware.
She has left a trail of destruction behind her in the Office products and the browser —— no wonder the entire line of products is working slower, looking pretty and doing less with each iteration.
Sad to see a company with so much potential self-destruct.
Since Tracey has gotten the iPAD I am far more impressed with Apple than I ever thought I would be. At least their pretty software does something more useful than Windows 8.
