This is a fine example of what total asshats the Repuglicans are in playing politics with our national debt. #MoscowMitch tries to embarrass the Dimocrats by attaching a bill to something the Dimocrats will have to vote against. So the Dimocrats re-submit the attachment as a stand alone bill —— and Moscow Mitch #Filibusters his own bill?

Fifty years ago today this park was established. I have been there, not once, but twice! Very cool. Both times were during the drive to Arizona to be with Noah. The second time Tracey went wandering in the desert and got sunburned!

Neither Tracey or I had much energy yesterday —— we went to lunch at Bob’s in Pekin and then were down for a nap most of the afternoon. Our visit with Mom and DD was good. We had Jimmy John’s delivered and DD bought some chips at her weekly shopping run for Mom.

I grumbled (as usual) that they put too much mayo on my sandwich but it was still pretty good.


We haven’t even reached the longest night yet and I am already very sick of living in the dark all the time. I told Tracey the other day that she should get “home before dark” when she left for work.

She laughed and said that wasn’t going to happen because it is dark way before she is supposed to get off work. I think I may hate that the most about the winter season —— living in the dark.
