Bo, a fifty-five-day-old baby Echidna known as a puggle, rests in the hands of vet nurse Annabelle Sehlmeier at Taronga Zoo in Sydney in November, 2012. The puggle was brought to the zoo after it was found by itself on a walking track north of Sydney and will be fed by hand until it is weaned at about six months of age.

Happy April Fools’ Day everybody —— be careful out there!

I am a bit stiff and sore this morning but not as bad as I figured I would be. Actually I’m surprised I can walk at all! I am planning another walk today but I think I will skip the hill climbing.

I wandered out to the mailbox around 9:00 this morning to dump some Netflix DVDs in the box. It was a bit crisp at 33°F and some wind out of the north. I just returned from another (slow) walk out there again. It is about 10 degrees warmer but the wind is still brisk. Two short walks are about all I can manage today. I am stiff. I had thought about doing a little yard work but —— never mind.

Tracey closes the clinic tonight so I probably won’t see her until after 10 p.m.
