I had to yell profanities at the GPS Girl in the #FordEscape last evening. I was trying to get the darn Msoft software to navigate us to the Monical’s in Canton. Nothing. Locked up and true to #Microsoft infamy, we had to wait for our car to reboot before we could get the damn navigation software to work. I have read about this on the user forums at Ford but there is no substitute for experiencing the full fury of a very expensive system that is less reliable than the cheapest battery operated Garmin from Wal-mart. Inexcusable and very frustrating. We were probably 5 or 10 minutes late in getting there because we had to mess with that crap software.

#Applebees
You may recall my complaint on the 18th of this month about Applebee’s not letting us use a coupon for a free appetizer unless it was printed on paper. I got an email response from the general manager at the Pekin Applebee’s. He basically made excuses about the help.

We do receive so few of these types of coupons electronically and some of our more tenured staff is unsure how to handle them. We had drilled into them the necessity of needing a paper backup for so many years; this is what they fall back on. I have spoken with my management team and nearly all of our service staff (so far) to ensure this issue does not occur again in the future.

He goes on to say he would like to talk with me by phone but I emailed back saying email suites me better. I don’t really need to talk to anybody, just some hope that they will respond more appropriately the next time. I am actually somewhat surprised I got any reaction or response at all, so it is to the good already.
