Ben called from #Watson to tell us he might not make it back home this weekend after all —— something to do with his class schedule not being right. Hopefully he can make it home for the Labor Day weekend.

#Fresenius Tracey worked from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. yesterday in Pekin and will be up early this morning to drive to Decatur to spend the day there. It looks like some long hours in her future to make sure her boss gets a good bonus.

Andy had a “Tracey day” yesterday. He went to work at 7 a.m. and got off around 9:45! The young guy (Andy’s age) went back to school so they bumped Andy up into “supervisor position”.
Andy was working with a new 20 year old girl for a few days. This week, he’s been with another 24 year old guy that just started at Penn. Andy has been “in charge” of the job at Heller Ford in El Paso.
The job was supposed to be done Mon., but that didn’t happen. He worked about 12 hours Tues. there. I guess Andy called back to the shop yesterday and asked for help in finishing the job, but they didn’t send anybody out there. So, Andy and the new guy had to finish.
Now that is just plain silly! I sure hope today is a better day for him! He said last night that he needed a different job - not a landscaping type job! They have a nursery there too, but he was afraid that he wouldn’t get enough hours.
He also took this side because he wanted to learn more about plants and trees - build a better foundation for later. I’m thinking that he is going to get burned out fast. Way too long of hours!
Also, Evergreen Cemetery called him yesterday and offered him a job. He interviewed there back in April, but wasn’t offered a job. He wasn’t going to take it because it was basically mowing, digging holes of the icky kind, and cleaning a bathroom. I think that job was probably looking good yesterday/last night!
I’m off to do a little dish washing this morning. Those stove burners get pretty dirty in just a week’s time - and heavier too I think!

Employers everywhere are making employees do more work in longer hours and less pay. I hope Andy can find a better job with fewer hours at decent pay —— those long days will make an old man out of him before his time!
