The UPS truck arrived yesterday with a package from #USCellular. It is a new SIM phone card? I have no idea why they sent that to us unless they thought it was somehow needed to get one of our phones working. Im not even going to call and ask. Crazy.

I decided it was cool enough to run the furnace yesterday afternoon and nothing happened. I changed the batteries in the thermostat, hit reset a couple times and went down to check the breaker in the furnace. Still nothing. So we have the furnace repair people coming next Monday to fix the thing. That wont be cheap.

#Fresenius Tracey has to make the trip to Decatur again today. Her boss is still frantic about the possibility that the public health dept. people might show up and she wants Tracey to be there if they do. This is really getting old. It makes for really long days for Tracey having to drive back and forth from Decatur and in the meantime her work at the Pekin clinic keeps falling further behind.

Michael T. sent a link. The following quote from the article strikes me as a very sad summation of the wingnut mentality of the Tea-Billies:
The Repuglican Party has driven the country to the brink, and this morning, House Repuglicans bolstered their ranks by … standing together and singing Amazing Grace. Its Strangelovian. Maybe there wont be a long-term fallout from this, but I tell you, its very hard to see entrusting power to a party that behaves this way, that manufactures crises like this for its own short-term political gain. The Repuglicans, having lost their mind, have destroyed their brand.
Amazing Grace. They cause this looming disaster which, make no mistake, would be a global disaster and then stand there singing a freaking hymn amid the ruins of their party, and the potential crash of our economy! Raving loonies, the lot.
