The continued insanity in D.C. about health insurance reaches new lows every day. Once again the Tea-Potty GQP puts forward a bill to nullify the ACA and once again the House passes it (something like the 48th time?). The sad twist is that more Dimocrats are knuckling under to the blackmail.
“These 39 Dimocrats have not protected themselves by voting with the Repuglicans. The Obamacare attacks will still come against them next fall. The only thing that these 39 proved today is that they are willing to put their political survival ahead of the survival of millions of Americans who need access to affordable healthcare.
They didn’t save themselves from future Repuglican attacks, but they did prove to their fellow Dimocrats that they aren’t worthy of their support.”
An after thought on the comment above —— part of this outcome was the announcement by the White House that this legislation would be vetoed. This provided political cover for the cowards. I think the President should keep his veto intentions quiet until legislation is on his desk. Let Congress do their job without that pressure or cover.
