Tracey and I went to breakfast yesterday and I came home while she spent the rest of the morning shopping. She was supposed to be getting a new purse but ended up with far more plunder than that.
Tracey’s sister Sandy and Sandy’s daughter Coral arrived in the early evening. Tracey joined them in a trip to see the Festival of Lights. They then spent the rest of the night visiting. Sandy and Coral are spending the night and then plan to participate in a charity 5K walk / ugly Christmas sweater contest this morning.
Aaron finally arrived home after a treacherous drive on terrible roads from Clinton, Iowa. He said he saw six cars in the ditch along the way including one that did a slow 720 spin into the median in front of him.
He swears he is moving away from the Midwest as soon as he can and never wants to see snow again!

I was just thinking about your boys last night knowing they had a drive to get home for Christmas break. So glad Aaron made it home. Hope Ben is safe too - there or here.
Andy had to go to work at 2 a.m. this morning. He is now a snow plower! Penn Landscaping does snow plowing in the winter so he signed on. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing yet.

Good Morning Tammy, Ben is still at Evansville —— he will be making the trek back home on Sunday.
Aaron really had a wild ride home. He said he could only go 25 MPH at one point and just rode behind a snow plow for about an hour. It took him about twice as long to make the trip as usual.
Andy should be fine so long as he takes his time. Snow plows are usually the best thing to drive in the snow!

The girls just left and they all look perfectly hideous in their Ugly Christmas Sweaters!
We searched the web site but see no cancellation notice so they took off through the snow drifts in the Ford Escape. It seems to do rather well in the snow so they should be OK unless they meet a bad driver or something like that.
Keeping my fingers crossed they get there and back safely and have a good time too!

This country and its lawmakers are so completely back-asswards that I can’t even find the words to explain the insanity. Hundreds of electric plants across the country continue to spew pollution from burning coal and they pass laws to ban light bulbs?
This #Bridgegate story is slowly beginning to gain some traction —— now in the New York Times. I don’t think there is any doubt at this point that this debacle was politically motivated. I just hope they can get the dirt to prove it was inspired by the asshat Christie.
McDonald’s announced Monday that it raked in $1.5 billion in profits in the third quarter, up 5% from last year.
The number is strikingly close to the $1.2 billion taxpayers are shelling out each year to help pay public assistance to the McDonald’s workforce, according to a report released last week by the National Employment Law Project.
