Tracey had to close the clinic yesterday and there was no way her VW was getting out of the driveway in that snow, sleet, rain mix that was going on.
Although Broadway Rd. into town was snow packed we had no trouble. I made the mistake of taking Allentown Rd. home. It was completely snow packed. I dont think a plow had been down it all day.
The Ford did a great job but I couldnt get above about 30 MPH and with the wind and blowing sleet it was almost a complete whiteout.
And there was Thunder Snow! I havent experienced that very often but it is very cool to see flashes of lightning blaze across the snow and hear the thunder booming and echoing.
The roads had been cleared pretty well by the time I returned to town to pick Tracey up from work. They had a short power outage and we had to go by the new clinic to make sure the power was back on.
She went in briefly to check everything out and we headed for home. The power was out at Wal-mart and there were a bunch of utility trucks and lights and the power station across from there. It appeared to be a black out from the east end of Pekin until we got to Springfield Rd.

It was crazy weather yesterday. I thought the first thunder rumbling was a plow coming down the street. Ive had more than enough now! My wrists are killing me from dishes on Wed., Fri., and Sat. nights and then shoveling Friday, Sat. and yesterday. I shoveled my drive and patio three times! All I can say is Bring on Spring!

Good morning Tammy, Im with you although I havent done any shoveling. We just walk a path between the house and the garage. Fortunately the Ford can get through the snow in the driveway. I should probably clear the drive though so Tracey can get her VW out.
