I survived Pirate Day and we found the treasure! Then it was baseball time...batter up. Of course, my class won! We dont keep score and every kid gets to bat one time. Im sure our baseball game would be considered a comedy show. Most of the kids have not played baseball. They have no clue what to do or where to go after they hit the ball off of the tee. Jeans class is alot younger than mine so it really wasnt a perfect match. Oh well, the kids had fun.
We had 12 chicks born this week in the incubator. Thats the good news. The sad news is that a chick died yesterday morning while we were being pirates. This chick was born with some kind of bubble on his rear end. We made an ICU for him and put another chick that was born late in with him for company. These 2 chicks were in the office, but the kids did see the one with the bubble. We tried putting him in with the others twice but all the others would do is peck that bubble and make it bleed and drain. The kids saw that, but they dont know that it died. I felt so bad for that little chick! It broke my heart. Guess I would not make a very good farmer. Im taking the chicks to their farm today after the all school picnic. They sure are cute! Then school is out (kind of) for summer.
Happy Anniversary to Alan and Gloria! Heres to many more of those days!

Good Morning Tammy, Sorry to hear about your poor little chick. I would make a terrible farmer too. Sounds like you had a great time. There is nothing more heart warming or hilarious than to watch a bunch of little kids playing. It doesnt really matter what they are playing when they put themselves into it they are so earnest at having great fun.
My yesterday wasnt quite as fun I spent the morning at the urologists office. I had my bladder checked out and received quite a compliment from the nurse. She said, You have such good looking urine! I told her that was the nicest thing anyone has said to me in a while. Anyway, everything checked out good and done for another year with that.
