THIS is the damage that agenda driven politics is doing to the education process. Politicians deciding to lie to students rather than teach actual science because the science isnt politically favorable for them.
Tracey had a day off yesterday so I put her to work. I made a quick run to get some gas in a small gas can to mix up with some two cycle oil for the chain saw. Then Tracey and I went to work cutting up brush and dead trees at the south end of the property. Tracey wont touch the saw so I did all the cutting and she hauled the stuff to the burn pile. We were in the midst of one gnarly group of trees when she said we had to stop cutting because there was a bird nest with baby Robins in it. We got quite a bit done before it started raining and we had to quit for the day. I was pooped anyway. We will have to go out another time to finish when the birds have flown the nest.
Aaron joined Tracey and I for a trip to the Cracked Barrel for some food and then home for a short nap to recuperate from all the hard work.

Tracey had yesterday off because she has to work all day today. She left about a half-hour ago to be at work by 5 a.m. and she wont be back home until around 5:00 this evening. A very long day for her. I should go do some grocery shopping but will be going back to bed for now. I know I am a lazy butt.

D.O.N.E. Schools out for summer! Well, kind of anyway - at least until June 3rd. We managed to have our picnic/program, but it was kind of chilly at the park. I think it was the shortest picnic on record - 55 min.! At least the rains held off. We added a song on the end this year and the big kids did a wonderful job with it. The big kids are 5. They acted out and sang the story The Soup Opera by Jim Gill. It was so stinkin cute! I sure hope someone that took video sends it to the school or puts a link on Facebook. Id love to see it from the audiences perspective.
Guess its pay bills, do some laundry, clean some house, and then go to work to wash dishes tonight. The other dishwasher graduates this weekend from E. Peoria so he took tonight off. Bummer that Ashley is home and Andy should be over this way sometime today too. I might not get to see him though since hes working at his job today and then coming here to plant flowers for Ruthie Roth again.

Good Morning Tammy, I take my compliments where I can get them! Glad your picnic didnt get too rained out although I was ready to put down the chainsaw when we got rained out. I am so old and out of shape anymore I cant seem to get anything done without having to stop and rest now and then.
