I have sleep apnea (as most of you long time readers of my Blog have heard ALL about). Around 4 a.m. the bi-pap machine I use to get any restful sleep stopped working and I couldnt get it to turn back on.
So after fiddling with it for a few minutes I decided I may as well just power it down for a while and I came in here to the computer to fume about it.
I decided to Google the problem and discovered the on/off switch on my model commonly needs replaced. After reading a few other web sites I discovered that many models, mine included, have an automatic on and off setting. Put the mask on, breathe in and it turns on. Take the mask off it turns off. Trouble is you have to access the Clinical Menu.
A few more web searches and I discovered a hack your Resmed site which explained the secret button pushes that only trained professionals were supposed to know about. I went back to the bedroom, pushed the buttons, found the settings menu and Voila! Now my machine works again! Saved by the Internets!
I spend a lot of time patrolling the Internets correcting people who are wrong. There is one distinction that many people dont quite comprehend just because I stop arguing doesnt mean I agree with you.

I went grocery shopping yesterday and couldnt remember if we had any bacon or not so I bought some. I figure you can never have too much bacon. Right? So when I got home and unloaded the groceries I discovered we now have three lbs. of bacon in the refrigerator. What should we have for breakfast this morning?
