I went to CEFCU yesterday morning to refinance the new #FordEscape. We bought the car using Ford financing because it got us an additional cash rebate but the interest rate is high. We received our first payment invoice in the mail Thursday and our first payment to Ford will be our last. The interest rate at CEFCU is about half what Ford is charging. (Probably how they pay for the rebate.) Tracey and I have to go back to CEFCU this morning to sign the papers.

January 22nd, 2015 – Warning that “the probability of global catastrophe is very high” unless quick action is taken, the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists Science and Security Board today cited unchecked climate change and global nuclear weapons modernization as the basis for their decision to move the hands of the historic Doomsday Clock forward two minutes. The shift of the Doomsday Clock hands to three minutes to midnight is the first such adjustment to be made in three years. The Board also outlined action steps that will need to be taken “very soon” in order to avert catastrophe.
