#Memories The house is more lively with Ben here. It is good to have Aaron and Ben around full time again especially since Ben likes to cook!
Another story about Bens graduation this past Saturday We had to clear out of our hotel room by 11:00 a.m. and the ceremony didnt start until 1 p.m. We decided to go early so we could get a good parking place. We found a close parking spot and walked over to the auditorium where the 9 a.m. ceremony had just finished and people were leaving. So we went in and picked some seats and sat down.
About 10 minutes later we were told we had to clear the auditorium and wait in the lobby until the doors opened at noon. Everybody was herded out into the lobby and the doors were locked. I asked why it was necessary that everybody stand in the lobby for an hour and was told it was policy to clear the auditorium. So we got to stand shoulder to shoulder with people in a packed lobby for an hour.
It was raining so everybody was trying to crowd in to get out of the rain. I felt especially bad for many of the elderly who really didnt need to be on their feet for an hour in those conditions when just the other side of the doors was an entire auditorium of empty seats and bleachers.
We could see through the door windows and nothing happened inside that auditorium the entire time and all the security in the lobby did was make excuses to the many people who asked why were being forced to stand in the lobby.
I cant understand how we reached this place in society where some dingbat makes some goofy rule that makes literally no sense whatever.
