Ben took off yesterday morning for Jacksonville to look for an apartment. He will need a place to live by August when he starts teaching there.

I know you have all heard me gripe and complain about this subject but I can’t help but tell another “roving restaurant manager” story.
Tracey and I stopped at #BobEvans in Pekin yesterday and I got their new BBQ chicken special. Of course it wasn’t actually barbecued, just baked chicken with some chemical smoke taste. Still, it was pretty good. It would have been better had it been cooked a little longer —— just a little undercooked for me.
Just as I had finished eating the roving manager happened by and asked me how my meal was and I replied it was good but would have been better if it hadn’t been undercooked.
He immediately replied, “Well most people like it that way.” Clearly meaning it was my fault that I didn’t like it because evidently I’m not most people.
I started to tell him what I thought but decided it was pointless. I can’t imagine why these people interrupt customers with inane questions like “How is everything?” and then make snide comments when you tell them it wasn’t completely to your liking. Why bother?
It has gotten to the point I just want to tell them to go away and stop bothering me because they couldn’t care less about what I really think.
