Although I was up for a little while around 2 a.m. I managed to sleep in until just after 6 a.m. Would have slept longer but #Louie lost his mind about something and went barking through the house. Since Tracey is gone he is on high alert and barks at anything that moves. It is getting very annoying to say the least. I know he can’t help it but I think about shooting him now and then.

Sadly this article acknowledges the sometimes truly horrendous approach schools take in teaching math and then twist that into calling it the parents’ inadequacy in teaching the kids it isn’t truly nonsense. Now we have #CommonCore where millions of math literate parents have to teach their children how to conform to this insanity while at the same time try to teach them how to do real math. It is all too confusing for the kids.
