#Memories Yesterday morning turned out to be quite hectic. We were on our way to Springfield for Tracey to take her dialysis test. I had stopped at the Caseys in Tremont to get some gas and Tracey was looking through her papers and discovered she didnt have a printed copy of the confirmation email.
So we raced back to the house but she couldnt find it and we were running out of time so we decided just to go.
The letter she got in the mail said she had to be at the facility a half-hour in advance or she wouldnt be able to take the test and would forfeit the $350 fee.
I drove the entire trip a couple miles over the speed limit and we endured two stretches of road construction at 45 MPH and one wrong turn (my fault) before racing into the parking lot of the examination office at 9:25 a.m. with five minutes to spare.
Tracey jumped out of the car ran into the building. She came walking out a few minutes later. She said the old lady at the desk said they couldnt even turn on the testing computers until 10:00 so she may as well sit down and wait. The only thing she asked for was a photo ID. No other papers needed and no half-hour early or else. How wonderful IL bureaucracy is.
Tracey passed her test and can now add CDN to her letters on her signature. Certified Dialysis Nurse. All is well that ends well.
