Aaron, Ben, and their friends returned to the house for a short while again yesterday afternoon. Ben said he would be back again later this week. The house seemed so quiet last evening after they left. The empty nest again.

#PowerOutage
We have ice on the trees and power lines. The power has gone off and back on twice now and I just left the clocks flashing or dead zero. I hate the thought of no power and no sump pump in all this rain. Things could get soggy in the basement. Again.

Our power went off just before 11 a.m. and it is still off. We are sitting here in the glow of oil lamps and our cell phone batteries are slowly dying. The basement is very wet and the dog is totally confused. I’m sure he can’t figure out why we don’t turn the lights on! I’m not worried about my DSL connection so there is that.
