Slow to get on the Blog this morning. Not much going on except a beautiful sunny day.

We went to breakfast this morning and I ordered some oatmeal. I was asked if I would like some pecans with it and I agreed.

Fortunately the pecans were delivered on the side and I tasted one before dumping them into my oatmeal. Sugar coated. Not the best thing for a diabetic to scarf down with breakfast.

I find more and more often I have to really watch what is delivered at a restaurant because they seem to have little or no regard for those who shouldn’t eat sugar.

I don’t order soft drinks any more at all. I have too often been given sugar laden colas when I ask for sugar free. I usually catch it but have had sky high blood sugars on occasion and I am almost positive that was the culprit. Water, tea and coffee are much easier to taste if there is sugar in them.
